At R:KC we align with the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) model of care for individuals and marriage. We seek to understand the real-life, human struggles you experience and find hope and power to change through Jesus.
The counseling relationship is a means of God's grace and healing--a safe space to be known, heard, and understood by a counselor who has an equal need for God's grace and mercy.
God created us as 'embodied' souls. That is, physical problems such as chronic pain, sickness, or mental illness affect our emotions and thoughts, which then affect our relationship with God and others. Therefore, counseling wisely considers and attends to the body aspect of a person's struggles.
At R:KC we offer biblical counseling that helps you connect your unique struggles and pain to God’s bigger story of rescue and redemption. We believe that our biggest problem is that we don’t love and trust the God who made us. We call our lack of love and trust sin, and Jesus’ death and resurrection gives us hope for change and growth.
Our approach to counseling is grounded in Scripture, which guides our understanding of who we are and how God relates to us.
Please reach us at 502-648-8676 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No. We do not bill insurance but seek to keep our rates below the market average to make it affordable. If you need financial assistance, please check with your church first, to see if they can help offset the cost of counseling. Then, if your church does not provide that type of assistance and/or more is needed, you can apply for our reduced-rate scholarships
You can call and leave a message at this number: 502-648-8676 or contact us via email through our contact page. A counselor will follow up with you regarding scheduling.
R:KC counselors are not licensed through the state. Your R:KC counselor is trained in the use of the Bible and biblical principles in counseling settings. Although Jon and Becca have additional training in domestic violence and trauma-informed care, they solely practice biblical counseling at R:KC. Please note that, as biblical counselors, R:KC counselors are not professional counselors or professional therapists and do not provide professional clinical counseling or professional mental health services.
